Hare Krsna Malati ji

Welcome back, sorry to hear about the health problem, hope
it's nothing serious. When you have time and strength, please
share some Maharaj ji sanga with us!!! Some nice instructions
and events.

Whoever is translating should honor Guru's words exactly, but
this might be a challenge on many levels in our situation.
We should be always honest to each other and speak to each other
openly or with Guru about these things. Devotees adore when you tell
them directly your complaint.

Can wait to hear about your interview!!
Welcome back again!

Hari Hari Malati ji

great to hear you have managed to see Maharajji as you planned. Indeed we will be happy to hear what he told you (unless it´s something private, of course).

Malati ji wrote:I think it is being dishonest to put words in one's guru's mouth.

I think it would be dishonest if the translator knowingly tried to twist Maharajji´s words. I believe that our Indian godbrothers do their best when translating, especially if you consider that Maharajji often speaks continuously for some 20 minutes with hardly any pauses. In fact, it´s a feat to translate it as they do and it is impossible to achieve a 100% consistency with the original words. However, I don´t see it as problem since after having read all of Maharajji´s darshans his line of thinking is clearly consistent which shows good quality of translations.

I transcribed the darshan about the position of women by copying the words of the Indian translator, and by adding my own translations of those parts which I could understand in Hindi and which the translator failed to mention. I included those expressions in Hindi in brackets in order to substantiate my additions. For the time being this is the maximum I can do to preserve the original message (hope to improve my Hindi in the future). So now we are in a position when we mostly need to rely on what our Indian godbrothers tell us, but fortunately, in case of doubts, we can consult Maharajji directly.

Radhe Radhe

Elizabeth

I have uploaded the interview on Utube and have given the link to Bhrigunath for translation into english.

Unfortunately, as of writing this post, Bhrigu has not responded to me yet, so dont know if he has opened my email yet.

When he has given me the transcript in english, the video and translation will be put online.

Regards
Malati dasi

Hare Krishna

Because I don't know if Bhrigu is still interested to translate the short interview into english, I will put the Utube link here for those who can understand Hindi.
